Mort Walker is a cartoonist who created the long running newspaper comic strip
Beetle Bailey in 1950 and
Hi and Lois in 1954. Since its release Beetle Bailey has become one of the most popular comic strips in the world being distributed in over 1800 newspapers in 50 countries. It is also one of the longest running comic strips that is still being produced by the original cartoonist!
He signed the photo I sent him and included a hand drawn sketch of Beetle Bailey! He returned them to me in my SASE in 21 days.
