In Person Success - Brett Dalton

Brett Dalton is an actor best known for playing Grant Ward on the TV series 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'. He recently made an appearance in my city and I managed to catch up with him getting him to sign a photo for me and post for a picture. Very friendly guy!

TTM Success - WWII Cameraman Norm Hatch

Norm Hatch served as a cameraman in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and filmed many important moments throughout the war including the Battles at Iwo Jima and Tarawa. His footage was used by the United States government as well as news organizations around the country. Many of his films were edited together in 1944 to create the documentary 'With the Marines at Tarawa' which won the Academy Award for Best Short Documentary.

He signed the photo I sent him and returned it to me in my SASE in 22 days. I also received a letter from his son accompanying the photo.

TTM Success - Rachel Robinson

Rachel Robinson is the widow of legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson; the first black Major League baseball player. She is the founder of the Jackie Robinson foundation and the recipient of a number of awards honouring her lifetime of service.

TTM Success - Lord Peter Carington

Lord Peter Carington, the 6th Baron Carington was a British politician who has been a Member of the House of Lords since 1940 and served in positions under 6 Prime Ministers starting with Winston Churchill in 1951 and ending with Margaret Thatcher in 1982. His most prominent positions were as Defence Secretary under Prime Minister Edward Heath and as Foreign Secretary under Prime Minister Thatcher. After resigning from Margaret Thatcher's cabinet in 1982, he also served a term as Secretary General of NATO from 1984-1988.

George Shultz is an American political figure who served as US Secretary of Labor from 1969-1970 and Secretary of The Treasury from 1972-1974 under President Richard Nixon, and most prominently as Secretary of State from 1982-1989 under President Ronald Reagan.

Got back one of my favourite television personalities; Larry King. He is a legendary interviewer who has had conversations with some of the most important figures in political, entertainment, and sports history. He hosted 'Larry King Live' on CNN from 1985 to 2010 and is the current host of 'Larry King Now' on Hulu. In his career he has won 10 Cable ACE awards, 2 Peabodys, a Lifetime Achievement Emmy, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

TTM Success - NFL Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle

Y.A. Tittle was an American football quarterback who had a 16 year career in the NFL playing for the Baltimore Colts, the San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Giants. He was twice named the NFL's Most Valuable Player and was the first professional football player featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1954. He was inducted into the pro football Hall of Fame in 1971.

Johnny Duncan is an actor who is best known for portraying Robin The Boy Wonder in the 1949 serial 'Batman and Robin'. He also appeared in a few of the 'East Side Kids' and 'Bowery Boys' films throughout the 1940s.

TTM Success - United States Congressman Ruben Gallego

Ruben Gallego is a Democratic Member of the United States House of Representatives representing the state of Arizona. A relatively new congressman, he was elected in 2014 after serving 3 years in the Arizona State House of Representatives. Prior to his political career, he was a United States Marine and a graduate of Harvard University.

I emailed his office through his congressional website and after just a few days one of his assistants got back to me telling me a signed photo would be sent shortly.

In total it took about 10 days to receive.

In Person Success - David Axelrod

Legendary political strategist and advisor David Axelrod was in town recently speaking to a conference and I knew I had to get him for my collection! As a big political buff, I greatly admire him for his incredible work he did running President Barack Obama's election campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

I managed to time it almost perfectly, showing up at the hotel where the conference was taking place just as Mr. Axelrod was arriving from the airport. He signed the photo I had printed and took a picture with me as well!
