In Person Success - Jazz Musicians Jack DeJohnette and John Scofield
Jack DeJohnette is a Grammy Award winning drummer who is undoubtedly one of the most influential jazz drummers of all time. He started his career in the 1960s and has released 35 albums as bandleader as well as playing on almost 200 others. He is perhaps most notable for his time as drummer for the legendary Miles Davis from the 60s to the 70s playing on 13 of his albums including the groundbreaking 'Bitches Brew'. John Scofield is a 3-time Grammy Award winning jazz guitarist who began his career in the late 1970s and has released more than 50 albums as well as playing on almost 100 others for legendary musicians such as Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis, with whom he remained as his guitarist for 3 years beginning in 1982. They recently performed a concert together in Ottawa and I was able to get their autographs following their show.
